Chile ski touring : discover the Araucania region, a land of exception located between the Pacific Ocean and the Andean Cordillera. This region is full of amazing flora and fauna, turquoise lakes, snowcapped volcanoes and the charm of its people and culture.

This is a road trip and we will hit the road in Santiago, drive 400 kms South before joining the Araucania region.
September, when the austral winter is ending, is the best time to cross over the volcanoes and ski down amazing powder and spring snow in the same day ! A surprising effect due to the proximity of the Pacific Ocean.
Every day, we will experience the ascent of a new volcano, sometimes helped by ski lifts in tiny ski resorts. We will enjoy amazing views at the summit over turquoise lakes, we will ski down superb and long descents in a grandiose panorama and end up in relaxing hot springs.

Skiing in Chile is  a combination of magnificient landscape, luxuriant vegetation, cosy accommodation, great food, excellent wines and the warmth of the Chilean. A must to do !
